DRILLING YOUR WELL

Special question about drilling your well?

HOW YOUR WELL IS DRILLED
Putting down most wells consists of two operations: drilling the hole and casing it. A hole of sufficient size must be drilled straight down until water of adequate flow is reached, through earth, semi porous rock layers and solid rock. To keep the surrounding earth from caving in and to keep sediment or impurities out of the well, it is lined with a leak proof impervious casing sealed into the solid rock.
WELL CAPACITY
How much water should your well be able to supply? Enough to supply your needs for years to come. For a rough estimate on residential needs, use 100 gallons per day per person for suburban living. Farm requirements vary with livestock and irrigation needs and are often greater. We will recommend the correct capacity for your Particular requirements.
PUMPING EQUIPMENT
Type and capacity of your pumping equipment must be correctly matched to the depth and capacity of the well, here too, our experience is invaluable.
DEPTH OF YOUR WELL
How deep will we have to go to hit water? Experience on similar jobs in your area will provide a good estimate.
LOCATION
The well should be located at a higher elevation than any source of possible contamination, convenient to point of use and with pumping equipment accessible for maintenance. Our expert advance personnel will help you decide.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
This varies with rock conditions, size and depth of the hole. Under normal conditions, with average water level, we can usually drill and case a well in one day, seldom will it take more than two.
WELL REHABILITATION
Many older well just don't produce the quality and quantity of water they could. Speak to Manosh about our expert well rehabilitation service. We service all types of wells from residential to municipal and commercial systems.
